Post 1: About me

My name is Michael Morsello, By day I am a student studying a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communication), and by night, I am a chef.

I began cooking from a young age and after completing high school i decided to enrol myself into an apprenticeship. A little over three years after that date in 2011, all my hard work, all the cuts, the burns, the sleepless nights and the workplace debauchery paid off and I received my papers for qualification.

In 2012 things began to change. I had always held a desire to write. After a much needed push i thought i'd roll the metaphorical dice and enrol myself into tertiary education.

I am now into my second year of study at Deakin University, and the hunger to merge my two chosen disciplines still remains, with a hope as to one day be an established food writer.

So where does this blog come in you ask?

ALC215 - Globalisation and the Media.

I have been charged with the task to demonstrate what Globalisation means to me; to relate it in a way I understand the term - to relate it to the world of food and culture.

Every week i will update and any comments and feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading, and till next time...
